Dakota PZX-7 & PZX-7DL
Precision Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges

The Dakota PZX-7 & PZX-7DL are ultrasonic precision thickness gauges with multiple measurement modes.  The Dakota PZX-7 can perform extremely precise high-resolution echo-to-echo measurements on thin-walled materials (range 0.15m - 25.4mm).

The Dakota PZX-7 series gauges are single-element precision ultrasonic thickness gauges equipped with a variety of measurement modes to address a number of potential applications.

Measure Modes:

  • Pulse-Echo

  • Echo-Echo

  • Interface - Echo

  • Plastics Measurement Mode

  • Automatic time dependent gain (TDG)

Dakota PZX-7 & PZX-7DL Overview

The Dakota PZX-7 & PZX-7DL are ultrasonic precision thickness gauges with multiple measurement modes.  The Dakota PZX-7 can perform extremely precise high-resolution echo-to-echo measurements on thin-walled materials (range 0.15m - 25.4mm).

The PZX-7DL model comes with a data logger allowing for on-gauge storage of 40 files, with 250 readings per file for 10,000 total readings.

The PZX-7 is capable of measuring the thickness of various materials with accuracy as high as  0.0001 inches / 0.001 millimeters.  The advantage of ultrasonic measurement over traditional methods is that ultrasonic measurements can be performed with access to only one side of the material being measured.
